About Us

A curio is something unusual and perhaps worthy of collecting.  Our store is where you'll find antiques and collectibles of quality and curiosity, perfect for your curio box!

Gary brings to NYS CurioBox 30 years of fossil collecting experience and five years of business experience while Carole brings 10 years of retail sales and antique business experience. 

We believe in quality and curiosity, and just as important, we believe in recycling old stuff!

We find “stuff” by sorting through various estate auctions, garage sales, flea markets and friend's houses (with permission of course).

We are lucky to find antique, vintage, and other interesting items that we think our customers will like.  We also sell some unique items on consignment.

A final note about us -- we are excited to be able to open this web store and thank our Web Mistress for her dedication to small business development, our friends who provided encouragement and proof reading, and our families who have shown great patience in accommodating our quest for the perfect item!
